Another simplistic in performance stamp, but as always I make up in Artist's Comments on such topics.

The image is a part of the "The Great Oath" painting by Fyodor Pavlovich Reshetnikov (painting depicts Stalins speech on the Second All-Union conference of Soviets, 26th of January, 1924).

Text reads "Glory to Stalin".

It is warming to know that even some Russian nationalists start to realize the true magnitude of Stalins role in our history. Already such concepts of understanding of Stalins USSR start to appear as "Stalins National-Socialism".

More and more myths about him are being dispelled, more and more people agree that we need a new Stalin.

Personally, I've studied about Stalin since I was 9, and I was in every possible argument and debate in regards to his role and deeds and with time the more I studied the more I managed to beat every single argument and myth thrown at me. And I am still learning about this Great historical figure, for whom I have the utmost respect.

One day all of Russia will finally recognize Stalins true role in our history and he will be given the title he deserves - Stalin "The Great". The Greatest Leader of all Times and Peoples.

Below I provide originals and translations (done by me) of some of Stalins more national-orientated speeches.

"The Bourgeoisie was once considered the head of the nation, it defended the rights and independence of the nation, placing them "above all else". Now not even a trace is left of the "national principle". Now the Bourgeoisie sells rights and independence of the nation for dollars. The Banner of national independence and national sovereignty was thrown overboard. There are no doubts, that this banner will have to be raised by you, representatives of communist and democratic parties, and carry it forward, if you want to be patriots of your country, if you want to become the ruling force of the nation. Nobody else can carry it." -I.V. Stalins speech on the XIXth Congress of the Party, 14th of October, 1952.

"All this will fall upon the shoulders of the Russian people. For the Russian people are a great people! Russian people are a kind people! Amongst all people, Russian people have the most endurance! Russian people have a clear mind. It is as if it was born to help other nations! Russian people possess great courage, especially in times of hardship, in dangerous times. It is initiative. It has a firm character. It is a wishful people. It has a goal. That's why it has it harder than other nations. You can rely on it in any disaster. Russian people are invincible, unending!" - Stalins words according to the notes of Alexandra Mikhailovna Kollontai from her personal conversation with Stalin in 1939.

ВЫСТУПЛЕНИЕ И. В.

STALINS SPEECH IN THE KREMLIN ON THE 25th OF MAY, 1945.

"Comrades, allow me to raise one last toast. I would like to raise a toast to the health of our Soviet people, and first of all the Russian people. I drink foremost to the health of the Russian people, because it is the most extraordinary nation of all nations, that make up the Soviet Union. I raise a toast to the health of the Russian people, because in this war it deserved recognition as the ruling force of the Soviet Union amongst all the people of our country. I raise a toast to the health of the Russian people not only because it is the ruling people, but also because it possesses a clear mind, firm character and endurance. Our government had its share of mistakes, we had moments of desperate situations in 1941 - 1942, when our army retreated, leaving our native villages and cities of Ukraine, Belarus, Moldavia, the Leningrad region, the Baltics, the Karelo-Finnish Republic, leaving them because we had no other choice. Another people could've said to its state: you did not meet our expectations, begone, we will raise a new state, which will sign peace with Germany and gives us rest. But the Russian people did not do so, for it believed in the justness of the politics of its government and suffered sacrifices to ensure the defeat of Germany. And this trust of the Russian people for the Soviet government was the deciding force, that ensured historical victory over the enemy of humanity - fascism. Thank you, Russian people, for that trust!
To the health of the Russian people!"

FUN FACT: Stalin was half-Georgian and half-Ossetian (on fathers side). One major clue to this fact is Stalins real name - Jughashvili - which translates from Georgian as "Son of steel" and the Georgians historically referred to Ossetians as "people of steel", so his name was referring to his father being Ossetian. Later in life he chose his political alias Stalin which derives from the Russian word Stal' (Steel), which he used of his name "son of steel". Hence Stalin being the Man of Steel.

FUN FACT: Stalin had an adopted son - Artem Fedorovich Sergeev, son of one of Stalins close friends - Fyodor Andreyevich Sergeyev, who died in a crash of an experimental Rail transport powered by an aircraft engine. Unsurprisingly he is virtually none-existent in foreign studies on Stalins life and no foreign "studies" bothered to give him an interview, despite there being no limitations of access to him, as Artem Sergeev died only recently, on the 15th of January, 2008 in Moscow. However various Russian studies went ahead and found him for interviews, I personally posses one such book-long interview with him in regards to life in Stalins family.

It would have been much better if the USSR would have conquered Finland during the Continuation War.

I've been trying to find more information about Stalin but most websites keep potraying him as one of the worst leaders ever who apparently had a traumatizising childhood, depicting him as masochist and psychopath who likes torture and murder - this is a very harsh contrast to Stalin's quotes you've translated in your comments on this deviation, so obviously something is wrong here.

Do you possibly have any other sources or links about Stalin I could check out? I'd like to get to know more about Stalins' better side.

well maybe "better side" is the wrong term. just like to get a more objective view from him, as I never heard anything else besides the "psychopathic murderer" bit.

you idiot! It´s the third time I´m saying this!!! I meant that IF you wouldn´t have come "to save us", the germans WOULD´VE stayed here for 5 years! You previously said that they would´ve killed us "if you wouldn´t have come and save us", but they couldn´t have done it, could they?
"Actually age has a lot to do with matureness, psychologically speaking. But you wouldn't know that, would you?" if you really think it´s true I think you´re a "bit" stupid.
"You never studied human development with age psychology." Is there a school for this?
What did we ever do to you or to Russia that you hate us so much? It´s not the 18th century anymore, we´re not your sweet province anymore. Think it over: Only the Russians have that kind of history "the right one" so, the whole world is living in dark in your opinion?
I´m trying to convince myself that yo´re just a victim of Russian media and propaganda. I seriously hope that one day you´ll change your views(even tough i doubt it) and then, I promise you, you´ll regret all that you´ve said. You´ve just brainwashed, my friend. And it´s not only me who thinks that.
Have you heard about the Russian politician who said that he´s worried about "The Jews maffia" in Europe. Come on, give me a break.
You clearly know nothing of our history or culture(or Europe´s). I suggest you not to believe everything that is written or said by communists or excommunists, if you think you´re so smart, you should know that they don´t speak the truth.
You´re seriously wrong if you think that i know nothing of Russia or your culture. I really appreciate your literature.

Again I state: WRITE IN PROPER ENGLISH if you want me to understand you. Also only complete imbeciles deal in "what ifs" as it is a waste of time. Congratulations on further humiliating yourself.

Because when you deal in what ifs you can imagine anything you want. Therefor your entire rant about how the nazis couldn't possibly have completed a total a genocide of your people is null and void.

My advice: never deal in what ifs. A better advice though: never deal with history and politics, they are obviously beyond your comprehension.

It's true, but, again, since you never studied psychology, YOU CAN'T ACTUALLY DEBATE THE ISSUE, since you are IGNORANT to it. And such studies can be followed in universities. But obviously you don't know of higher educational institutions than a school.

Where did I say that I hate anyone here?

And I studied all sides of history in issues that I find important to my goals and make my own conclusions, so don't push on me whatever your delusional psyche imagines as "Russias kind of history" or that I am a product of any media or propaganda. I am a product of my own self-education and studies. I make my own propaganda, so I don't fall for crap media, unlike yourself.

And trust me, I will never regret what I said, because you are just a delusional child, nothing you say bears any importance to me. But you are amusing in your self-righteous hypocrisy, as the rest of your post is already rendered as useless dribble by statement above, regardging my methods of studying history (I will remind you again, since you are bad at english: I read all sides, compare them, study the sources and make my own conclusions, I do not swallow whatever I am fed, unlike YOU, you little hypocrite).

And I never said anything about you not knowing Russian history or culture, it wasn't even the topic of this debate, which you clearly are incapable of following without getting delusions of what I supposedly say.
