for the "A Word from the Author" section of my book.

Slightly different than the original (brighter and the back of the 'throne' is not visible), this is one of the versions of this image I got while working on a more simple b/w version of it to use in the book itself, so as to keep a good quality image even if the visual style will be different. Uploading it so that people may see the original.

The text is a fragment of a poem by Mikhail Lermontov, "War".

A war has egnited, my friends
And Banners of honour have unfurled
And with a decisive horn she does
Entice us to the fields of bloody vengeance!
